Messy, overlong, and never exciting or game changing.

May not live up to its lofty allegorical aspirations, but more than makes up for it with some great jump scares, super creepy atmosphere, and practical effects.

★★★½★ Last Night in Soho
While not quite living up to the height of Wright, it's still a bloody good time if you allow yourself to stick with it through the end.

★★★★★ Dune
Loses points in the dialogue department, but more than makes up for it with astounding visuals and filmmaking.

★★★★★ The Addams Family 2
Still doesn't reach the heights of the live-action entries, but at least it's releasing in theaters and available on all major VOD platforms for optimum home consumption.

★★★★★ Dear Evan Hansen
Just because you're waving through a window, doesn't mean anyone has to be waving back. If anything, they should be waving this adaptation away in dismissal.

★★★★★ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
This is the MCU introduction we've been waiting for. An origin story that also works as a stand alone with just enough referencing to remind us where things are heading.

★★★★★ Candyman
Never exactly terrifying, but unsettling, unnerving, and timely, with plenty of allegories to spare.

The sweeter version of 'Ready Player One' we didn't know we needed.

★★★½★ Jungle Cruise
Not quite worth a trip to the local theater in the current atmosphere, but worth every penny on Disney+ to stay home and enjoy the ride.

After the likes of recent horror offerings such as 'Freaky' and the "Fear Street" trilogy, we deserve better, especially when it comes from someone we know can do better.

★★★★★ Space Jam: A New Legacy
Better than the original, but that's setting the bar mighty low, HBO Max is the only way to go.

You know a shark movie has failed when even I can't love its 'Jaws: The Revenge'-level ridiculousness.

Strike a pose and dust off your ledgers, Marvel's return to the big screen was worth the wait!

Never mistakes itself for high art, the franchise continues to steamroll ahead in all its audaciously over-the-top glory.

Charming and hilarious, repeat value abounds, thankfully it's on Disney+ to help with that.

★★★★★ Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard
Horrible on every level. The 1-star rating comes from the assurance that within 99 minutes, the cast is bound to make you laugh at least once.

Way more adult-oriented than family-friendly, but thankfully without all the puppy murder.

★★★★★ A Quiet Place Part II
Intense, genuinely frightening, and the most affecting horror movie since 'A Quiet Place.'

★★★★★ Wrath of Man
A much better film unfolds once it gets over the setup. May not be the best Ritchie/Statham team-up, but it's always at least entertaining when they get together.

★★★★★ Without Remorse
Widens the "Ryanverse" with an intense origin story, while opening up franchise possibilities.
