Black Adam
★★★★★ Completely style over substance, although at least it sets up the DCEU for better things to come.

The King’s Man
★★★★★ Doesn't quite live up to the original, but it's still a smashing good time for fans of the franchise.

A Quiet Place Part II
★★★★★ Intense, genuinely frightening, and the most affecting horror movie since 'A Quiet Place.'

Shazam!
★★★★½ The best post-Nolan DC film, period.

Captain Marvel
★★★★★ With girl power to spare, 'Captain Marvel' smashes the superhero glass ceiling and I can't wait for the inevitable showdown with Thanos.

Aquaman
★★★★★ Momoa finally gets thrust into the spotlight and fares far better on his own than as just another Justice League cohort.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword
★★★★★ Full of video game quality CGI and no one to root for — including Arthur himself — this 'King' is no 'Legend.'

The Legend of Tarzan
★★★★★ Too violent for kids and too boring for anyone with a pulse.
